We’re long-time fans of French fashion, no matter what the time of year. With May nearly upon us, and summer just around the corner, our minds are naturally turning towards escapist dressing. Namely, holiday clothes with a French fashion twist.

What’s on the agenda for SS25? Unexpectedly, colours are quite classic, with cool-toned blues and whites mingling with warmer shots of tomato red and trending pale yellow. Earthy shades of brown ground the look in the now.

Artisanal textures are key: Chloé’s scalloped crochet tote in French blue is perhaps the high-end move on from the traditional basket bag we’ve been waiting for. Meanwhile, Isabel Marant leans into raffia with the brand’s on-trend Lennyo sandals, pictured below.

If you’re looking for a break from the norm, take some inspiration from Jacquemus. Still fresh in our minds from dressing the cast of The White Lotus in vacation-perfect resort looks, the Paris designer’s take on French summer clothing is youthful and energetic.
