Aside from revitalising her Hollywood career through her role in the new Dexter: Resurrection TV series, Uma Thurman is flexing her fashion prowess as the muse of Zalando‘s AW25 fashion campaign. The Golden Globe-winning actress, and mother of Maya Hawke, stars in the brand’s autumn winter 2025 campaign alongside multi-platinum recording artist and producer PinkPantheress. The theme of the campaign builds upon Zalando’s evolving ‘What Do I Wear?’ tagline, encouraging shoppers to embrace their personal style with confidence.
Thurman, for her part, is playing the role of muse with incredible ease. Wearing a colour-drenched look of head-to-toe crimson (speaking of moody reds, shop our edit of bugundy buys to love here) including an elegant pleated skirt and statement single-breasted coat, the actress meanders around a farmer’s market in Portugal, drawing style inspiration from those around her, as is often the case in real life. In another video, Thurman teams an of-the-moment pinstriped waistcoat with wide-leg jeans: equally as appealing. “I was happy to be part of this campaign,” Thurman says, of the brand partnership. “There was something playful and unexpected about it – set against the beauty of Portugal, which almost felt like another character in the story.”
It’s not surprising, really, given how Thurman’s minimal, all-American dressing aesthetic is clearly in line with the internet’s obsession with 1990s minimalism (or, rather the Carolyn Bessette-ification of modern fashion). Notably, Thurman’s personal style is equally as appealing. Whether she’s donning killer tailoring for the New York Film Festival, holidaying in elevated basics or attending a low-key premiere, her love of separates that have stealth-wealth appeal is palpable and her classic ageless style is entirely enduring.
