AVOCA launches it AW23 collection – and it is gorgeous…
AVOCA launched its AW23 collection at AVOCA Kilmacanogue yesterday, and its smart new website, where customers can shop the full fashion collection for the first time. From cosy daywear to outerwear (love the Rains collection) to brilliant basics, French girl cool jumpsuits, brilliant tweed suits, and gorgeous sequined dresses, the collection is much more comprehensive than before, with Avoca’s own ranges and tons of hand-picked international labels, including 20 brand new arrivals.
A highlight is the AVOCA 300-year anniversary outerwear collection, celebrating three centuries of handweaving at The Avoca Mill in Co Wicklow. Our favourites were fabulous wool coats in purple and charcoal, made from a heavy Donegal mohair yarn, oversized with dropped shoulders and top stitching details. New brands such as BL^NK and FRNCH, (we loved the FRNCH blue velvet jumpsuit and super-cute patchwork jacket by Bl^nk) join favourite brands like Fabienne Chapot, Part Two and SELECTED.
The menswear collection includes Barbour and Selected Homme – classic heritage pieces to be worn with cool contemporary pieces. Key pieces include the timeless Barbour Hereford Wax Jacket, in Olive or Rust, and the Selected Homme oatmeal cable knit roll-neck knit and herringbone navy tailored blazer. As part of the 300th anniversary celebrations, AVOCA has also commissioned a dramatic collection by by Irish jeweller Scribble & Stone. There’s a great deal of excitement around Avoca this autumn, and rightly so. This is a store that has found its fashion feet again, and we’re keen to explore more.
