Thirsty Work! Our Favourite Cafés For Christmas Shopping

Take a well-deserved break in one of Butlers Chocolates Cafés …

All the shopping to be done, errands to run … but there’s always time for Butlers. Butlers Chocolates Cafés all over Ireland never fail to draw us in with a delicious aroma of coffee, hot chocolate and treats as the perfect place to stop and take stock before, during or after some shopping … or a trip if you’re lucky enough to get away from it all!

Treat yourself to a hot or cold drink – there’s nothing like a Butlers signature milk or white hot chocolate to ward off winter chills, or a seasonal iced latte or matcha to cool down when you need it most. You might even find a little present or two (or three) to tick off your list as Butlers’ Chocolate collections make ideal hostess gifts or stocking fillers.

UNDER ONE ROOF

For those who love to shop in some of Ireland’s biggest shopping centres (where there’s no need to worry about the weather), Butlers offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle. You can find Butlers Chocolates Cafés in the recently renovated Dundrum Town Centre, Jervis Street, Liffey Valley, Blanchardstown and Swords Pavilions in Dublin, or Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick.

SHOP LOCAL

There are several Butlers dotted around Dublin for those who prefer to pop in to their neighbourhood café, from Rathmines and Ranelagh in Dublin 6 to Ballsbridge in Dublin 4 or Blackrock by the beach. We recommend checking out the newly opened Butlers in Glasthule, or why not visit the home of Butlers in Clonshaugh in Dublin 17 where there’s a spacious café with lots of onsite parking. There’s also still time to enter to win a family pass to tour the magical Chocolate Factory while you’re there!

KILDARE VILLAGE KIOSK

For those outside the city, a new Butlers Chocolates kiosk has opened in the mecca that’s Kildare Village. Butlers is already much loved here thanks to the ever popular trailer that’s long been one of the highlights of visiting the village. Now, among the plethora of boutiques this brand new pit-stop is a must-visit for a quick re-fuel to avoid any queues and avail of the entire chocolate range too, of course.

CELEBRATE THE FESTIVE SEASON

For many of us, the highlight of going into town to meet family and friends to soak up the festive atmosphere is catching up in Butlers Cafés from Dublin to Cork and everywhere in between. Some of our favourites include Wicklow Street in the heart of Dublin city, near Grafton Street buzzing with buskers, carolers and revellers. Not far from Galway’s Shop Street, the cosy Butlers Café on William Street is warm and welcoming to watch the world go by. In Cork, the famous Oliver Plunkett Street runs in a straight line from Custom House Street to Grand Parade – the best base to explore on foot along the pedestrianised side streets.

UP, UP AND AWAY

Finally, many lucky travellers say that their holiday starts at Butlers in Dublin Airport in both terminals, T1 and T2. If you’re jetting off for some snow or sun, get into the holiday spirit at Butlers. Don’t forget to pack some goodies for the trip too. Bon voyage … and Happy Christmas!
