The Perfect Spa Destinations In Ireland For Some Real R&R

Book in, switch off and indulge …

Booking In: Cashel Palace Hotel, Co Tipperary

We stayed at this hotel recently for the Gucci Westman masterclass and were reminded why this is one of the best spas in the country. The peaceful pool overlooks the colourful, immaculate garden – at its very best at this time of year – that has an outside section, so you can float and listen to the birds singing. Go early in the morning and have it to yourself. Spa treatments are by Bamford and Valmont, and there’s also a hair salon (Mary Quinlan’s) and Manucurist manicures.

The hotel is currently running a two-night Recharge wellness programme that highlights all of its delights. From an initial consultation, spa treatments and access to the thermal spa to a guided hike, horseride picnic and dinners, everything has been considered to allow you to enjoy maximum rest and restoration. The facilities are dreamy: there’s a gym, yoga, outdoor seaweed baths, and a health bar for smoothies and shots, plus lots of scenic walks. You’ll sleep wonderfully well too – the beds are some of the most comfortable in Ireland – and there are luxurious Memo Paris products in the bathroom (co-founder John Molloy is from up the road). The garden terrace, overlooking the majestic Rock of Cashel, is a glorious place to while away a summer afternoon. What you notice most of all is the friendliness and warmth – coming here is like visiting a (VERY fancy) friend’s house, and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a truly gorgeous spot.

TIP: Don’t miss the Boutique for Westman Atelier beauty, Bamford and Memo Paris products, and exquisite Loom pyjamas in Irish linen that would make a beautiful gift.
