IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WESTBURY
Planning a special meeting, private dinner or glamorous event? Leave the details in the capable hands of The Westbury team …
Whether it’s an early morning think tank, a private dinner for an out-of-own client, or a special, surprise anniversary party, when you want to impress your guests, consider the impeccable range of flawless event spaces at The Westbury hotel, Dublin 2.
From the moment guests arrive, the family-owned hotel exudes glamour (and is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World). In fact, there’s a feeling you’ve entered the home of a well-travelled art collector, such is the warmth of welcome amplified by its cosmopolitan decor, stunning floral installations, bespoke scent and striking artworks by acclaimed international and contemporary Irish artists.
These details extend from the elegant Gallery (the setting for afternoon tea) to the Art Deco-inspired cocktail bar, The Sidecar, and the buzzy, brasserie Balfes to the stylish, signature restaurant WILDE.
The same attention to detail and sense of sophistication found in these in-the-know venues is matched in The Westbury’s beautifully appointed event spaces and suites. When Dublin’s fashion crowd like to throw a private event, they often choose one of the suites which have been the setting for press conferences, beauty launches, fashion shows and society galas.
The Grafton Suite.
The Westbury’s event spaces range from the elegant Grafton Suite, to seven flexible suites, all equipped with the latest conferencing technology too. The only difficulty will be choosing which one to suit your needs. There’s a case to be made for each of them.
The Grafton Suite, with its marble columns and Waterford crystal chandeliers, offers a grand and luxurious space for up to 200 in theatre-style seating, or 150 guests dining.
The Trinity Suite.
The Trinity Suite is ideal for intimate private dining events for up to 20 guests. It is elegantly decorated in classic colours which complement the original artworks, while large windows provide plenty of natural daylight. In the evening, a marble fireplace and chandeliers add to its charm. The Trinity Suite looks especially pretty by candle light.
The layout of other suites (named Kildare, Clarendon, Wicklow, Dawson, Suffolk and Exchequer), can be adapted for different styles of meetings – from boardroom to classroom or U-shaped arrangements, to dinner or cocktail receptions. Menus offer a wonderful choice of seasonal dishes complemented by expertly selected wines. The in-house floral team is also on hand to discuss floral arrangements too, meaning you don’t have to worry about the details.
As a central venue, The Westbury makes sense too. It’s a mere ten-minute drive from Connolly and Heuston railway stations, while the airport is a 30-minute drive. If attending conferences, city venues such as the Dublin Convention Centre and the RDS are within a ten-minute drive too. And if your guests decide to stay in one of the (205) gorgeous hotel bedrooms, they are minutes from Dublin’s cultural attractions (Trinity College Museum, National Gallery, National Museum and Gaiety Theatre) and many rooms offer panoramic views of the city.
Given The Westbury’s reputation for hospitality and cuisine, as well as showcasing the best of Irish and international design, hosting an event in the hotel makes sense.
