IN PARTNERSHIP WITH KILLASHEE HOTEL
Explore Kildare from the luxury of The Reserve and enter to win a VIP experience …
Summer in Co Kildare is made for luxuriating with the posh Russborough House, tranquil riverside Barrow Way, and the picturesque National Stud & Gardens all within easy reach of The Reserve. It’s the ultimate countryside retreat and the latest addition to the bewitching Killashee Hotel, with its idyllic Victorian manor house and walled garden, just outside Naas.
Surrounded by 4.5 acres of lush grounds, The Reserve is an elevated experience offering comfort and privacy, perfect for friends, wedding parties, retreats and corporate or multigenerational stays. There are nine ensuite bedrooms (accommodating up to 18 people), living and dining room, spacious kitchen area, a boardroom for ten and library, which are all wheelchair accessible. Guests have exclusive access to the property and a personalised welcome, in addition to housekeeping and concierge services. Continental breakfast is provided, as is a welcome basket and amenities.

Formerly The Bower Guest House, purchased by Killashee Hotel owners FBD Hotel & Resorts last year, it’s been completely renovated with a €2 million investment to create The Reserve. Interior designer Liz Harte and architects Cantrell & Crowley were engaged to create a welcoming, sustainable space with the use of natural materials to complement its thoughtful eco credentials.
Outside, the former stables have been transformed into top notch Wellness Pods with a hot tub, relaxation room, sauna, gym, and two relaxation and treatment rooms. The patio decking area houses a barbecue area surrounded by mature gardens where you can practice yoga, discover walking trails or indulge in organic treatments with Elemis skincare products. For sporty holidays, The Reserve is close to golf courses and racecourses (The Curragh, Punchestown) while for foodies and families, the Kildare Farm Foods Open Farm & Shop makes a great day out, as is Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park. For a slow tourism experience, hop on a barge cruise along the Sallins canal.

These activities will no doubt work up an appetite. Expect local, organic sourced produce and seasonal menus including charcuterie and cheese platters, a selection of sweet and savoury canapés, and cold buffet. Alternatively, guests have the option of dining in Killashee Hotel’s restaurants, including the sophisticated Pippin Tree or more informal Oak & Anvil. Make use of the four star hotel’s facilities including The Spa and leisure centre with its 25m swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna.
