Backstage beauty with Chanel …
We’re taking inspiration from this fresh make-up look, seen at the Chanel spring/summer 2026 Haute Couture show. It’s low-key, soft and minimal, with accents of cherry blossom pinks. Here’s how to recreate the flushed pale pink cheeks and glowy illuminated skin seen on the catwalk, and the key tools:
Lips are fresh and balmy. Chanel make-up artists used two shades, depending on the model’s skin tone: Rouge Coco Baume 912 Dreamy White, and Rouge Coco Baume 752 Honey Bliss.
Cheeks were brightened with Joues Contraste Intense in Rose Radiant or Joues Contraste Intense in Beige Éclatant (depending on skin tone), applied to the centre of the cheek, then blended and diffused slightly upwards toward the cheekbones. A small amount of Baume Essentiel Rouge Noir in Cute or Sculpting was applied in light dabs to the tops of the cheekbones, and gently tapped to blend into the skin.
Skin was perfected using light Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch with the 2-in-1 Foundation Brush 101.
Nails were prepped with a coat of La Base Camelia. Shine was added with Le Gel Coat, and hands moisturised using La Crème Main.
Tools This Rouge Noir Brush Set (€135) is part of the limited-edition Rouge Noir collection which launched recently. Also check out the Noir Allure mascara in the same shade (€53): a rich red-black is a great way to add a bit of colour to the eyes.
