We’re always on the search for something party-ish to wear that will last well beyond the season. Designers went all in on embellishment this year, from coats dripping in crystals at Tory Burch to sequin-embroidered tailoring at Dries Van Noten. Add just one glistening piece – an embellished coat for a dramatic entrance, a ritzy shimmering sequined blouse or subtle sparkling jewellery – to an otherwise simple outfit and you will be ready for the party. Expensive-looking muted taupes and creams are trumping red and burgundy. Look to Maje, Lili Sidonio and & Other Stories for simple shapes with a hint of a sparkle.
