An afternoon of style and insight in aid of the children’s charity …
Guests turned out in style to support Barretstown, the renowned charity founded by actor Paul Newman in 1994, which provides therapeutic camps and programmes for children affected by cancer and other serious illnesses. Hosted by presenter Marietta Doran in The K Club in Kildare, the event was organised by a ladies’ committee including Tara O’Connor, Mary Dooley, Dee Ahearn, Crona Byrne, Aurelija Kupryte and Rachel Queally.
A racing style presentation by fashion expert Jess Colivet, in collaboration with Kildare Village, offered inspiration on the latest fashion trends for the summer season, followed by an engaging panel discussion led by horse trainer Lorna Fowler of Rahinston Farm and Stud in Co Meath with renowned Irish horse trainer Ross O’Sullivan, owner and breeder Tamso Doyle Cox from Baroda Stud, and AnneMarie O’Brien CEO at Equimetrics. The audience heard fascinating tales about their careers and insights into the racing calendar.
It was a fitting celebration of one of Ireland’s most beloved charities, with €120,000 raised for this worthwhile cause.
