A hangover from Toteme’s viral scarf coat, which launched four years ago, the fashion world is still revelling in scarf detailing. This year the look has expanded, with double-faced and reversible fabrics coming to the fore, as well as elegant cape shapes – that’s right: cape jackets now have scarf necklines, birthing something of a cape-scarf coat hybrid – making the look even more luxurious.

By day, these cover-ups look soigné teamed with barrel jeans and ballet flats. While, for eveningwear, it’s about subtle details that elevate your look.
