Depicted as contemporary portraits within three new works from French conceptual artist Laurent Grasso – reminiscent of the monolith in Stanley Kubrick’s sci-fi classic 2001: A Space Odyssey – actor Saoirse Ronan and Lisa, solo artist and member of super successful South Korean girl group Blackpink, embody the ‘soft power’ that inspired Nicolas Ghesquière’s (Artistic Director of Women’s Collections) SS2025 campaign.
Shot by Steven Meisel, the images play with the scale and atmosphere of the retro-futuristic paintings by Grasso, whose otherworldly landscapes were also featured on three looks during the runway show held in last year in the Cour Carrée of the Louvre museum in Paris.
Marking their campaign debut for the house, these power women of the moment represent modern femininity, expressed through the frame of Louis Vuitton. The Golden Globe award-winning Saoirse Ronan is at the top of her game on the world stage and Lisa is currently the most-followed K-pop artist on Instagram, who will make her acting debut in the third season of The White Lotus, set in Thailand.
