IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NEUTROGENA®
Time to boost your skin’s A-game …
Have you introduced retinol to your skin routine yet? Whether you’re an experienced pro or a retinol beginner, you can find an accessible and easy to use range in your pharmacy: Neutrogena® Retinol Boost takes the guesswork out of using retinol, and helps you to achieve visibly youthful, healthy-looking skin.
Need to know
The USP? Neutrogena® Retinol Boost is a comprehensive range that’s suitable for all skin types. It has been specially formulated to achieve maximum efficacy (so is suitable for expert retinol users) with great tolerability (ideal for new or first-time retinol users). Some people feel nervous about starting with retinol, but with this range, you can be sure that you’re in good hands.
There are six products in the Neutrogena® Retinol Boost range, all designed to boost your skin’s A-game. They’ve been developed with dermatologists to harness the power of Pure Retinol, a form of vitamin A that’s scientifically proven to be effective. Retinol is a gold-standard skincare ingredient – it’s scientifically proven to stimulate cell renewal at the skin’s surface*, and it also works to increase collagen production**, resulting in a more even, rejuvenated complexion.

THE RANGE
The Neutrogena® Retinol Boost range offers a full collection of retinol-powered products, from a day cream to an eye cream and serums. And they are all about rejuvenating the skin’s appearance, with visible results such as smoothing out lines, brightening dark spots and boosting radiance.
Neutrogena® Retinol Boost is formulated with three key ingredients with the aim of achieving maximum efficacy with great tolerability: the powerhouse ingredient, Pure Retinol, a dermatologist-proven form of Vitamin A; Myrtus Plant Extract‡, known for its skin-regenerating benefits, boosts retinol effectiveness by 83 per cent (vs Retinol alone)*; and Hyaluronic Acid‡ to intensely hydrate and plump the skin.

NEED TO KNOW
If you’re using retinol for the first time, make sure you follow all the clear instructions on the packaging. Because when you’re starting off with any retinol product, the key is to go gradually and build up tolerance. Try introducing one product at a time, such as the Retinol Boost Serum, just two or three times a week for the first three weeks. Then you can work up to daily or nightly use, depending on how your skin is feeling. Another key thing to remember is to always use sunscreen in the daytime, as retinol can increase sun sensitivity. Once you know these simple guidelines, you’re good to go.

WE RATE …
We’ve been trying out the skincare range and if we were to pick just one item, it would be the Retinol Boost+ Intense Night Serum (rrp €38.99) – it contains the highest concentration of pure retinol in this range. It’s super-concentrated and fast-absorbing – and who doesn’t love something that works while we sleep. I also really like the Retinol Boost+ Intense Care Cream (€38.99) which is fragrance-free, absorbs quickly and feels very nourishing on the skin. It does a good job of hydrating the skin and making it feel plumper and smoother. Finally, the Retinol Boost Day Cream SPF15 is a handy multitasker – it’s nourishing your skin while protecting it, every morning.
And autumn is a key time to start your retinol routine, since you’re less likely to be in bright sunlight (though you still need to wear SPF in the daytime).

Backed by over 25 years of global retinol research, expertise and innovation, Neutrogena® Retinol Boost makes Pure Retinol accessible – prices start at €31, for the Retinol Boost Eye Cream. Make this autumn the time you start to experience the benefits of vitamin A – you’ll never look back.
Neutrogena® Retinol Boost is available from Lloyds, McCabes, Hickeys and independent pharmacies nationwide, from €31rrp.
