K-Beauty is BIG at Planet Beauty in Dublin (and at Brown Thomas and Arnotts) right now, with an extensive edit of brands such as Laneige, Dr Jart, Beauty of Joseon, Biodance, SKIN 1004, Roundlab, Medicube and Cosrx (yes, Cosrx Mucin Power Essence is the snail serum everyone’s mad about. We hate the idea of it, but have to admit it does make your skin glow and look firmer. It’s the most nicked product in my household, and I’m amazed how even the most skincare-resistant family members have adopted this). More brands coming soon are Erborian, TirTir, Kaja, Fwee and Anua.

K-Beauty specialist store Sissel Lab has opened on the ground floor of Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, bringing a wide range of brands to the city, as well as online. Brands include Beauty of Joseon, Roundlab and Anua. @sissel_lab

For easy online shopping, head to www.skinshop.ie, founded by the Gunning sisters, which has a good range of K-Beauty. They stock Melumé Skinscience, dedicated to “skin regeneration, hydration and barrier support”, exclusively in Ireland, as well as popular brand Allies of Skin and others including Cosrx. We’re trying the Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask (€27 for four), though you’re meant to leave it on for three to four hours, so be prepared time-wise. The site stocks lots of good hair brands too, including K18’s expensive yet high-performance Airwash Dry Shampoo, and Colour Wow.
