Four New-In Pieces By Irish Brands We Can’t Wait To Shop

The best of what’s new in Irish design …

Maybe it’s the change in season but there’s something about right now that has us feeling a little, well, spendy. Personally, I’d gotten myself into the groove of not buying for so long (among many things I blame the pandemic messing with my fashion mojo, coupled with an ongoing desire to be more conscious) that I suddenly feel awakened to all of the beautiful pieces being designed and manufactured right on my doorstep.

The importance of shopping local is something we’ve all become more aware of these last few months. Particularly, since we saw the impact the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 had on small businesses. Buying from indigenous labels is a key pillar at THE GLOSS so with that in mind here is our round-up of the best new-in pieces by Irish brands that are touching down this week …

Nothing says treating yourself like a pair of luxe pyjamas. These just-released, environmentally-friendly Ecovero Viscose pyjamas, €98, by Irish brand KDK are firmly on our wish-list.

New Irish venture Into the Ether is the brainchild of wellness entrepreneurs Annie Kirwan and Lee Tracey, co-founders of yoga hub Reformation. Part of its winter offering, the Light Essence Soy Candle is a perfect weekend indulgence. Get it here for €22.50. (Those who wish to indulge in some cleansing of the spiritual variety will love the fact that the brand sells sage bundles, too.)

A piece by Ros Duke is like a love letter to knitwear. And with each season, the Dublin-based designer manages to delight with new additions to her offering. The Sweater in lavender, pictured here, €635, from Duke’s new collection is the perfect layering piece. (For a full debrief on the season’s knitwear trends pick up the November copy of THE GLOSS & The Mix, on newsstands now.)

Designed in collaboration with Peter O’Brien, this tweed coat from Stable of Ireland feels special. Bringing a couture twist to Donegal tweed, the shape is oversized and the fit is masculine. You can pre-order it now, with delivery from November 15 and it costs €795.
