We’re spoiled for choice …

Misunderstood Heron Pop-Up | Dublin 6

For one day and one day only, Misunderstood Heron is coming to Dublin. Now that the team is finished at P. Lucky ticket holders can expect fire-inspired dishes such as smoked potatoes mustard veloute and grilled pork neck Ajiajo, with grilled halloumi or cabbage for vegetarians, and grape salsa verde or charred green chillies for sides. Plus much more! Great vibes, amazing flavour and music in a vibrant outdoor setting. @misunderstood_heron @scorchiohq

Tang, 1 Windmill Lane, Dublin 2

Tang has opened its fourth location and it’s already highly recommended by THE GLOSS team to pick up lunch for the office! Known and loved for their wholesome food, locally sourced ingredients and seriously good coffee, Tang also manages the Townhall coffee dock in the Windmill Quarter, meaning even more people in the area can enjoy their feel-good food and warm welcome. Tang on Dawson Street and Abbey Street are already favourites for wraps and salads – the lunchtime queues are proof enough – while Cumberland Place, their only dinner location, is an evolution, according to The Irish Times. Whether you’re working nearby, living locally or a regular visitor, these will be your go-to spots in the city. @tangfood

OMMA Café, Planet Beauty, Brown Thomas, Dublin 2

The new ode to autumn menu at this popular matcha bar, founded by Nastya Kharytonovais, is embracing the season in both its drinks and treats. Enjoy a sweet pear and apple matcha, or strawberry or banana daifuku with miso banana bread. Have you ever tried a sesame latte? Now you can! Worth a try is the hojicha banana cloud, a smooth oat milk beneath a cloud of hojicha and banana foam, perfect with hojicha basque cheesecake. @your.omma

Matcha Matsukawa, Georges Dock, North Wall, Dublin 1

Dublin’s first Japanese-owned matcha café has opened in the IFSC. The team behind Matsukawa, the Michelin-listed sushi restaurant in Smithfield, Dublin 7 has opened the café with the intention of dedicating it entirely to the quiet artistry of matcha, serving hand-tended and pesticide-free premium Uji matcha sourced from Kyoto. They also serve Japanese tea including Sencha (Kabusecha), Karigane Hojicha and Genmaicha, with Japanese style desserts created from scratch by Matsukawa’s chef and owner. Try the viral strawberry sandwich, you won’t regret it. Their terrace is pet-friendly too, which is a bonus. @matsukawa_matcha.ie
