Meryl Streep’s red skirt-suit was one of our favourite looks from Matthieu Blazy’s Métiers d’art 2026 collection for Chanel …
Regardless of whether you’ve been struck by The Devil Wears Prada 2 fever that’s currently consuming the internet – see: that US Vogue cover – the general consensus is that Meryl Streep looks incredible in Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel.
Streep wore a fringed red collarless jacket with a distinctive white abstract print, replete with matching midi skirt, while promoting the upcoming release of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in Tokyo with Anne Hathaway. The look is from the Chanel Métiers d’art 2026 collection which received tantamount buzz late last year when Blazy presented it in a cinematic catwalk show at a New York subway station. Subsequently, commuting has never seemed so appealing.

Streep joins Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie and recent Academy Award-winner Jessie Buckley in the current roster of Chanel ambassadors, both official and unofficial. And while we expect the film will have plenty of fashion nous, Streep’s dalliance with Blazy makes for a compelling pairing.
