“This is my Cinderella moment!”: see the elegant winner of Frascati Centre’s 2022 Tip to Toe Transformation …
“This is my Cinderella moment!” So said Berni McKeon, a nurse at Crumlin Children’s Hospital, and the deserving winner of Frascati’s 2022 Tip to Toe Transformation. Berni, whose job it is to look after others, was chosen to go on an incredibly special ten-week journey to make her feel and look her absolute best.
Berni wholeheartedly entered into the spirit of the campaign and got terrific, visible results, thoroughly enjoying every minute. Frascati Centre Director Viv Gaine described how Berni said she felt like the “Frascati Family” were supporting her the whole way through, and it’s true: Frascati is a community of welcoming, service-focused retailers where every customer feels as important as Berni did. Berni’s journey was generously supported by the brands at Frascati. From Yoga Hub, Berni received ten free Reformer Pilates classes and with a perfect attendance record, began to see real results. She also received a nutrition and fitness programme from super-supportive gym team at F45. Berni was able to support her healthy eating habit with vouchers from Aldi, M&S and Kay’s Kitchen.
A consultation, colour, cut and blowdry at Peter Mark gave Berni a subtly different new look which she loves. She also had her teeth whitened at newly opened Shields Dental and took advantage of SiSu’s “Shine” package, which included Botox and Profilho treatments to freshen up her skin and give her a youthful glow. A signature Sugared manicure and pedicure, as well as a brow treatment and make-up, from Sugar Coated, provided the finishing touches.
Championed and supported throughout by Lorraine Keane and stylist Emily O’Donnell, Berni got a fabulous fashion makeover too, with the stylish pair helping her choose a super-smart suit from Pamela Scott and a party dress from Serena. Fabulous boots from Irish footwear store Carl Scarpa and a pair of shoes from brilliant Vienna Shoes finished off her two new outfits beautifully. Berni also received a gift of a painting from the Jennifer Hart Gallery.

Celebrating its 40th birthday this year, 85 per cent of the brands in Frascati Centre are Irish-owned businesses. New openings include Shields Dental, The Natural Bakery, Trespass Outdoor Clothing and Swan Menswear. Pamela Scott has recently moved to a fabulous new unit and homewares emporium Home Store+More is opening soon.
