A few things to cover off: yes, sparkly tops are still cool. Yes, they are essential for party dressing (in my opinion). And yes, you can start wearing them now. Not that you need to prescribe to any rules, but the general consensus is that once summer is over there’s a free-for-all on sparkles, metallics, feathers; any kind of frippery, to be honest. If you’re hesitant about going all out too soon, temper sequins with casual pieces – jeans, knitwear, chunky loafers. That way, in December you will have carte blanche to go big (plus, this means you can recycle your sequinned pieces in multiple ways: always a win).
