Sleep easy: Ground Wellbeing’s Sleep Ritual, designed exclusively for The Spa at The Shelbourne by Peigín Crowley, is one of our favourite treatments. Focused on inducing deeper breathing and guiding mind and body into deep rest, this is a fragrant experience – think organic geranium and jasmine absolute – that will transport you to a better night’s sleep. City centre gem: Ask a beauty insider for a good city-centre spa in Dublin, and chances are they’ll point you to Velvaere, cunningly hidden within the Radisson Blu Royal on Golden Lane, a stone’s throw from the bustling bars of Dawson Street. Don’t miss the scenic al-fresco seaweed baths (€65), too: choose from organic, hand-harvested Atlantic seaweed; a blend of organic essential oils including lemon, lime, clove, basil, mandarin and patchouli, combined with bath salts; or a dark, deep, soothing mud bath. Comfort zone: A bucolic 1,300-acre countryside estate on the edge of Cavan town, Farnham Estate has an expansive health spa complete with indoor/outdoor infinity hydrotherapy pool, thermal suite and relaxation areas. Try the Himalayan salt massage ritual (€125, 60 minutes), using Comfort Zone products (a lovely certified B Corp skincare line made in Italy).
