Glossip: The Blossom Tree Ball in aid of Childline by ISPCC
By The Gloss
The fourth annual Blossom Tree Ball hosted by Pippa O’Connor in the InterContinental Hotel, Dublin …
Singer Calum Scott made a surprise appearance, with stylish guests including Louise Cooney, Nadia Forde, Arthur Gourounlian, Brian Dowling, and Dave and Ursula Fanning.
The evening began with a Veuve Clicquot Champagne and istil38 cocktail reception before dinner in the ballroom, which was decorated in soft pastel pinks, cherry blossom trees and cascading florals. Guests were serenaded throughout the night by The Function Band from London.
Events started off with a ‘pop’ as guests who bought balloons were in with a chance to win a diamond necklace from Paul Sheeran, worth €7,500.
With MC Brian Ormond, Barry Murphy conducted the auction to raise funds for ISPCC, which runs a free and in-confidence 24-hour Childline helpline and listening service for children and young people who need support. Guests were told it costs €12,000 a day to ensure that Childline can operate. To find out more and donate, visit www.childline.ie and www.ispcc.ie
