The sun shone on the banks of Lough Ree as husband and wife team Ray Byrne and Jane English celebrated 30 years of their boutique hotel, Wineport Lodge.

Ray and Jane first opened a small restaurant on the site back in 1993. Beginning as part of a sailing centre, it soon established a reputation for warm hospitality in an idyllic setting. The property has developed intuitively: bedrooms were added followed by the stunning Cedarwood Spa.

Guests attending the evening celebration included Linda Martin, Barry Murphy and Flo McSweeney as well as Derry and Sallyanne Clarke. They enjoyed a barbecue and cocktails as well as live music from a stage set up on the water’s edge.
