The Gloss team attended a trio of elegant summer parties this week: to launch Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins restaurant at Anantara The Marker, the official opening of the Dublin Royal Convention Centre at Radisson Blu Royal hotel and a midsummer celebration at InterContinental Dublin.
The setting for the latter was its chic Garden Terrace and Veranda – a discreet location beside the hotel’s manicured gardens and fountain. Guests including Louis Walsh, Darren Kennedy and Aoife Dunican were welcomed by general manager Nicky Logue and enjoyed some special Midsummer and Paradiso cocktails as well as music from Spanish guitarist, Juan.
Guests also enjoyed an al fresco supper and a special preview of the new Summer Garden Terrace & Veranda menu, created by executive chef Alberto Rossi, which includes light bites and salads for languid lunches and more substantial options for dinner. (The Gloss can recommend the new Surf prawn and cod burger with Thai salad as well as the summer risotto with broad beans, peas, asparagus, spring onions and lemon butter). A selection of sweet treats from the Hotel’s pastry chef Orna Larkin were the perfect finale to the evening.
The Garden Terrace and Veranda is a great spot for a summer aperitif.
