Actor and obsessive gourmand Stanley Tucci has had a busy few days in Dublin. Not only did he attend the 26th International Literature Festival Dublin where he discussed his book Taste, which took the audience on a tour of his lusciously stocked kitchen and his spectacular career in Hollywood, but he also popped into some of the city’s best bars.

Stanley, of course, is no stranger to cocktail bars. As a former bartender, during the pandemic, his casual at home video mixing the perfect Negroni garnered more than one million likes on Instagram and kickstarted a lucrative side hustle for the character actor. Most recently, his popular television series Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy toured different regions, learning about local cuisines, popping into kitchens and dining with chefs.

While in Dublin, Stanley visited BAR 1661, awarded Ireland’s “Bar of the Year” and “Innovative Bar of the Year” Award in 2022. He was welcomed by general manager Will Lynch, who prepared a signature Tanqueray No.TEN cocktail called the “Wild Atlantic Way” with ingredients including mead, vermouth and marmalade, all locally sourced.

Stanley also visited House Dublin on Leeson Street where he welcomed guests on its gorgeous garden terrace. The terrace was styled with botanical florals and hints of citrus and grapefruit, referencing the flavours of Tanqueray No.TEN. Guests remarked on Stanley’s impeccable dress sense and charm, as he mingled during the evening.

Hospitality partner, Federico Riezzo hosted a No.TEN cocktail demo of this new summer serve. A closely guarded recipe, No.TEN is artisan-distilled in small batches with fresh grapefruits, oranges, limes, chamomile flowers and natural botanicals.
