The standout beauty looks from the 98th Academy Awards – including that of our Oscar-winning Irish star Jessie Buckley …
JESSIE BUCKLEY, Winner for Best Actress
MAKE-UP ARTIST NINA PARK: “The inspiration for Jessie’s look came from the colours of her dress. With the striking red and pink tones, I wanted the make-up to feel harmonious. Soft, radiant skin, paired with a diffused red lip, highlighted her natural beauty, while maintaining an elegant and understated finish.
For Jessie, the goal was to create a red lip that felt elegant and lived in. I layered CHANEL Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue in Daring Red over CHANEL Le Crayon Lèvres in Rouge Cerise, pressing the colour into the lips for a subtle, diffused finish that complemented the rest of the look.”
GRACIE ABRAMS, CHANEL Ambassador
MAKE-UP ARTIST EMILY CHENG: “I was inspired to create a red-carpet look with a soft, sculpted, rosy flush across the face. I wanted a look that was a cross between boyish, playful and soft glam.
To create the rosy flush on Gracie’s cheeks, I applied CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Pink Explosion. First, I applied this product along the apples of the cheeks and then swept upwards. Then, for a subtle glow, I tapped CHANEL Baume Essentiel Multi-Glow Stick in Transparent onto the high points of the face. Finally, I applied CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sunkissed Powder in Medium Rose Gold, to gently sculpt the contours of the face.”
TEYANA TAYLOR, Nominee for Best Supporting Actress
MAKE-UP ARTIST YEIKA GLOW: “I was inspired to create a subtle, mod-inspired eye look, with a soft sixties vibe, that still felt unique and modern. To create Teyana’s eye look, I applied CHANEL Le Crayon Yeux Precision Eye Definer in Noir Black to define the eyes. Then I applied CHANEL Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in Spices to add depth, shape and softness, while keeping her natural look intact.”
