Enjoy An Evening of Live Storytelling At The West Waterford Festival of Food

Enjoy a evening of live storytelling as part of the many exciting events at the West Waterford Festival of Food with CRAICLY …

Where: The West Waterford Festival of Food is coming back to Dungarvan from April 19 – 21, 2024 and as usual there are many exciting events and foodie experiences taking place. Eunice Power, Festival CEO and Chief says: “This year’s festival is about connecting people with food.”

What: CRAICLY is a unique, storytelling group founded by Jane Gormley. The group pops up in unusual venues all over Ireland and uses the sharing of true stories and experiences to help bring people together – and have some craic while doing it. Live storytelling is a beautiful (and a very Irish way at that) of relating to the people around you, communicating the past, present and potential future and is a fundamental part of the human experience. CRAICLY curate themed evenings, where storytellers with similar interests, lives and experiences can share their stories.

Who: There is already a fantastic panel of foodie speakers, with more yet to be announced, who are ready to dive into stories of their experiences in life and in the food industry, in the beautiful surrounds of Salterbridge House, Waterford. Those confirmed include Willie Mulhall, organic beef farmer and forester of Derrymullen Organics, gin creator Justin Green of Bertha’s Revenge Gin and Ballyvolane House, and husband and wife team Billy and Mary Sharpe from the award-winning Irish Gourmet Butter. It is sure to be an evening of great tales, wine, a light supper and good craic, included in a weekend of fantastic food events.

Need to know: The CRAICLY event will be taking place on April 20, at Salterbridge House, Cappoquin. The event runs from 7pm to 9.30pm. There will be a light supper and wine at 7pm and from 8.15pm – 9.30pm there will be a wonderful evening of stories.
