An Argentinian creative couple on making Dublin their new home …

Both born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Leon Faerman and Stefi Colombo first met in film school. They worked together throughout college and soon became a couple in life and work. Before moving to Ireland, Leon worked in a marketing agency while Stefania worked in television – experiences that gave them different perspectives, but a shared passion for storytelling and design.
“The plan was to stay for just two years, but we fell in love with Dublin and haven’t found a good reason to leave,” says Leon. While settling into their new home, the couple set up a content studio, Beanies Studio, which produces and directs short films and videos for brands looking to bring creative storytelling into their marketing strategies.
“You really need to put yourself out there, but there’s an incredible energy and so many people looking to make things happen.”
“For creatives, Dublin is full of opportunities – though that doesn’t mean it’s easy,” the couple says. “Networking and showing your work is key, and the community here is very open and collaborative.”
Beanies Studio held their first events series at Fumbally Stables earlier this month, called “Casa”. “We’ve been dreaming this up for a while and are thrilled to partner with Sip Wines and Sur Bakery. The idea of “home” has always been important to us, especially since leaving Buenos Aires. In Argentina, homes are places to gather, to eat, to connect. With Casa, we want to bring a bit of that spirit to Dublin, combining art, wine and Argentinian food in a warm, welcoming space.”
