Expect breath-taking backdrops, back-hand dealings, and plenty of twists and turns to keep us glued to our screens …
It’s been three long years since the second season of The White Lotus and if you thought this series couldn’t get any wilder than Jennifer Coolidge’s boat-debacle, the latest instalment in Thailand will have your jaw on the floor. We fill you in on the who, what, where and when we can expect the premiere, plus all the juicy details – we can’t wait!
Who: The latest iteration of the HBO series, created and written by Mike White, will see a whole new set of characters and a star-studded cast including Patrick Schwarzenegger (Scream Queens), Sarah Catherine Hook (Cruel Intentions), Sam Nivola (The Perfect Couple), Walton Goggins (Fallout), Carrie Coon (Gone Girl), Parker Posey (You’ve Got Mail), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter), K-Pop star Lisa, Michelle Monaghan (Gone Baby Gone), Leslie Bibb (Iron Man) and Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education).
What: The girls – Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon and Michelle Monaghan – are lifelong friends who decide to take a trip for some fun in the sun, which leads to the exposition of their bottled up feelings towards each other. Natasha Rothwell returns as Belinda, one of the main characters from season 1, as she seeks to learn and grow her craft in massage in Thailand, but (of course) things don’t always go to plan.
Jason Isaacs plays a wealthy patriarch who learns that his family’s fortune has vanished. Parker Posey plays his wife, who can’t seem to see the point of life without money. Their children, played by Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola, try to navigate the tension.
Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins play a couple with a significant age gap, which opens them up to some controversy at the resort. Goggins has a deeper (potentially sinister) reason to be there … watch this space.
Where: Keeping with tradition as previous seasons were set in Four Seasons resorts, season 3 was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort on the island of Koi Samui – another his stunning location that perfectly juxtaposes the drama that ensues. But that’s not all, the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas also serve as a beautiful backdrop in several scenes.
When: February 16 on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV. Watch the trailer now …
