Creative Director and Stylist Lawson Mpame Talks Style, Skincare and Secret Upcoming Projects

Dublin-based Creative Director and Stylist Lawson Mpame sends us his style cv

WHO Lawson Mpame, Dublin-based creative director and stylist.

MY STYLE is eclectic and versatile, a combination of dressing how I feel and a reflection of my personality(ies)!

IN MY WARDROBE, you’ll find a mix of great tailoring, some statement pieces, lots of shoes and smart accessories.

Black and white leather loafers, $520; www.dukeanddexter.com.

MY STYLE ICON is Michael B Jordan; the guy can do no wrong in my eyes.

ON MY SHOPPING WISH LIST? A new summer-print Cuban-collar shirt, two-tone Duke + Dexter penny loafers, Thomas Sabo beads and some Serge Denimes rings. My suits are all made to measure, I don’t like buying off the peg. For me, a well-fitting suit is a wardrobe essential.

MY SKINCARE ROUTINE is most definitely not basic: It’s a therapeutic ritual in the morning and evening. I’m lucky to have a personal trainer who has got me into shape. I also practice Muay Thai (Thai boxing).

A TYPICAL DAY involves meetings, being on set for a shoot and attending events. I’m a dinner kind of guy. An evening out finishes with a whiskey sour in a snazzy cocktail bar.

MY SIGNATURE DISH An authentic Italian carbonara made with egg yolks, pancetta and Parmigiano, and no cream!

MY SUMMER PLAN To travel more and finish two big projects. I have to remain tight-lipped for the time being. @lawsofstyle_

Selection of rings, from €65 each; www.sergedenimes.com.
