Anatomy of a Scandal (2022)

Adapted from Sarah Vaughan’s novel of the same name, Anatomy of a Scandal‘s TV adaptation stars Sienna Miller, Michelle Dockery, Rupert Friend, Naomi Scott and Josette Simon. Set in London, the plot revolves around a British MP and his wife who live in a rarefied world, which is suddenly disrupted when a scandalous secret comes to light. The ensuing courtroom drama – where the truth lies between justice and privilege – threatens to tear down a government, a marriage and a barrister’s self esteem. Streaming on Netflix from April 15.
Windfall (2022)

Streaming from March 18, Netflix film Windfall is being touted as a Hitchcockian thriller that follows a young couple (Lily Collins and Jesse Plemons) who arrive at their vacation home only to find it’s in the middle of being robbed. What ensues is a twisty – and idiosyncratic – plot that’s got more than a few moments of high drama and tension. Also starring is Jason Segel, who excels at playing an atypical thief hell-bent on seeking retribution. Streaming from March 18.
The Weekend Away (2022)

The Weekend Away by Sarah Alderson comes with the tagline of ‘Two friends went away, one came back’. The Netflix adaptation of the 2020 novel is equally as gripping a proposition. When Beth’s best friend vanishes on a girls’ trip to Croatia, she finds herself alone, confused and accused of murder. When she begins to investigate, she opens a Pandora’s Box of danger and deceit. Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester stars in this thriller where far from home, nobody is to be trusted and everyone is a suspect. Streaming now.
Pieces of Her (2022)

Toni Collette and Bella Heathcote star in this eight-part Netflix thriller which focuses on a mother-daughter relationship that is not what it seems. When Andy (Heathcote) is witness to a violent incident in her hometown, it brings her mother’s dark past to light. Forced to go on the run, she ends up not only fighting for her own protection but for every piece of the life she thought she knew. We defy you not to watch episode after episode in one sitting.
