The Nordic high street giant has finally opened its first store in Ireland. Get the lowdown on the flagship Dublin location and see what we’re lusting after from the autumn collection …
If you’re anything like us, you’ll have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Arket’s Dublin flagship store at 60 Dawson Street. Nestled at the intersection of some our favourite streets in Dublin 2, the flagship store is 810 square metres and is arranged over two floors. As part of the brand offering, the Nordic retailer will offer its full suite of clothing and accessories for womenswear and menswear, as well as childrenswear, body care and homeware, and will boast an Arket Café which offers a seasonal vegetarian menu, Nordic-inspired pastries and speciality coffee.
It couldn’t be better timed as we roll into a new season – and, thankfully, there is a lot of autumn fashion to get excited about. What’s on our wishlist? For outerwear, it’s all about macs with oversized shoulders while barn jackets have a sprinkling of autumn via corduroy touches and moody shades. As for denim, the latest styles lean into curved legs, see the Bloom barrel-leg jeans below, which come in a true-blue hue that will go with everything. For the back to work rush, we’re coveting shirting with dramatic wide collars as something different for nine-to-five dressing.
The interiors at Arket’s first Irish store nod to the brand’s nature-inspired aesthetic and include a monochrome palette of soft greys and natural materials, including solid oak interiors and greenery.
Lastly, accessories stay true to the trends we’ve seen emerge over the last few seasons. Footwear is all about hero flats (we say: leopard print Mary Janes are a fail-safe investment) while square-toe ankle boots make a polished statement.
