Actress Sarah Greene Selects Her Favourite Piece From Adam’s Upcoming Fine Jewellery Auction

Mark your calendars for May 16, when Adam’s Fine Jewellery and Watches auction will take place … 

Cork-born Sarah Greene has been busy. Not only has she appeared in hit shows including Bad Sisters, Normal People, and Penny Dreadful, she also enjoyed a preview of Adam’s Fine Jewellery and Watches auction on May 16. She tried on a selection of jewellery with Claire-Laurence Mestrallet, head of Fine Jewellery & Watches which you can watch online. Her favourite piece was this gorgeous ring, while Claire-Laurence also selected some of her favourite pieces below:

LOT 128: A GEM-SET ‘PANTHÈRE’ COCKTAIL RING, BY CARTIER, 2015

Sarah says, “I mean, what’s not to love about this iconic ring. It weirdly gave me a sense of power when I tried it on. It’s super sexy and strong. Not everyone’s cup of tea but if you are into chunky statement pieces then this one’s for you.” The ring is of a stylised panther head highlighted with black lacquer spots and pear-shaped tsavorite garnet eyes, mounted in 18k gold.
Estimate: €7,000-€8,000.

LOT 72: A FINE DIAMOND BRACELET, BY KUTCHINSKY, 1967
Kutchinsky is imminently collectible and this bracelet has an articulated strap set with brilliant-cut diamonds throughout, between textured gold borders with foliage detail, mounted in 18K gold.
Estimate: €8,000 – €12,000.

LOT 75: A LADY’S 18K GOLD AND GEM-SET COCKTAIL WATCH, BY KUTCHINSKY & DELANEAU, CIRCA 1974
Of manual wind movement, the oval dial pavé-set with single-cut diamonds throughout and sword hands. The case is in onyx and coral with a mesh-link bracelet and black cabochon crown.
Estimate: €5,000 – €7,000.

LOT 135: A GEM-SET AND DIAMOND PENDANT, BY MICHELE DELLA VALLE
The large circular bombé plaque depicting the stylised portrait of a phoenix, inlaid with amethysts, blue and pink chalcedony and green chrysoprase with ruby cabochons eys. There are brilliant and tapered baguette-cut diamonds throughout, mounted on 18K.
Estimate: €12,000 – €15,000.

LOT 188: A PAIR OF AQUAMARINE AND DIAMOND PENDENT EARRINGS, BY MARGHERITA BURGENER
Each pear-shaped aquamarine drop is suspended from three brilliant-cut diamond connectors, mounted in 18K gold.
Estimate: €5,000 – €6,000.

LOT 203: A SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CLUSTER RING
The oval-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 6.00cts within an eight-claw setting and brilliant-cut diamond, mounted in 18K gold.
Estimate: €5,000 – €6,000.

LOT 179: A DIAMOND LINE BRACELET
Composed of a continuous line of square-cut diamonds weighing approximately 10.00cts total, mounted in platinum, length 17.7cm.
Estimate: €10,000 – €15,000.

Need to Know: Viewing for the upcoming Fine Jewellery & Watches auction at Adam’s (26 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2) begins on Friday, May 12 until 5pm and continues on Saturday and Sunday, May 13 and 14 from 1pm to 5pm.
