The inaugural Irish Fashion And Designer Showcase …
In partnership with the Council of Irish Fashion Designers, this special evening featured a panel discussion with designers Christine Murphy of Urban Aran, Caroline Duffy, Annaliese Duffy and Sharon Hoey.
EPIC Museum’s Head of Communications Holly McGlynn explained; “EPIC is dedicated to telling the story of the millions of Irish people who left this island, and went on to shape and influence the world in remarkable ways. That influence spans everything from literature and politics to science, music and, of course, fashion. While EPIC has always celebrated creativity, including through our creating and designing gallery, this showcase is the first time we brought Irish fashion into the spotlight in this way: as a living, evolving expression of Irish identity on the global stage.”
Guests including sustainability advocate Jo Linehan, Courtney Smith, Roxanne Parker and Mihai Mar had the opportunity to explore a curated shopping experience in the vaults, showcasing Irish accessory designers including Capulet and Montague, Landa and Saw Framed.
