HAIR STYLE

Dyson’s limited-edition blue collection includes the Corrale straightener, Supersonic Drier and Airwrap multistyler, in Blue Blush – a bright blue with rose-pink details. From €400; www.dyson.ie

LUXE OIL

This striking navy blue shade is now associated with luxe German brand Augustinus Bader, which is the Tracy Anderson of skincare (like the celeb fitness trainer’s programmes, it’s expensive but it works). Since the success of Bader’s signature Cream, they’ve been rolling out new products faster than the speed of light: there’s something new on the way for September, but meanwhile try the Hair Oil (€43), a decadent way to rescue split ends, and to restore shine. www.spacenk.com

BLUE EYES

Blue eyeliner is perfect for the last days of summer – it looks great with a bit of a (fake) tan, and perhaps a creamy nude lip colour. Wear it instead of your usual black mascara and enjoy a fresh-faced difference. I’m very into Victoria Beckham’s Satin Kajal Liners at the moment, as they glide on so smoothly and have great rich colour and staying power, plus you get a sharpener with it. €30, www.victoriabeckhambeauty.com

ELECTRIC BLUE

On the same lines, YSL’s Lash Clash mascara in blue is strikig, and designed to focus on both pigment and volume, €34, at Brown Thomas and www.boots.ie We also love Revitalash Cosmetics’ double-ended mascara with indigo lash primer plus black for that full blue-black effect you get with tinted lashes €44.95, at www.revitalash.ie.

MIDNIGHT BLUE MANI

On nails, Chanel Le Vernis in Fugueuse is a rich inky blue that looks super-chic with either a cotton summer dress in sherbert lemon, or a chunky cappuccin-coloured knit. It’s number 127, by the way –which is rather easier to pronounce. €32 at counters nationwide.

MARINE CREAM

Sunday Riley’s Blue Moon Clean-Rinse Cleansing Balm is the bluest of the blue. With chamomile and moringa oil, it’s a lovely hydrating way to clean your skin. €65, at www.spacenk.com I love the Luna Sleeping Retinoid Night Oil too, a great gentle way to kickstart your retinol routine.
