We know of one skincare company treating their staff to Powerscourt Spa for the day as a Christmas party, which sounds like a lovely idea – relaxing and fun, without the hangover! Day spa experiences from €175 including a one-hour massage or facial plus lunch.
3. NAILING IT
Treat someone to a manicure or pedicure – it’s something you don’t always splash out on for yourself. Head to Sugar Coated in Glasthule, Co Dublin where manis start from €25, and there’s a full range of BIAB and gel polishes available. You can get your tan, threading, lashes and brows done here, too.

Or head to Woulfe Skin Specialists for expert face and body treatments. From Eminence facials to LED treatments and face-sculpting massage, this is a great option if you need solid, down to earth skin advice. A taster mini-facial is €60.

6. HOLISTIC HEALTH
From microneedling to cosmetic acupuncture and gua sha facials, there are many great face and body treatments on offer at Dun Laoghaire’s Escapada. You’ll find one of Ireland’s best facialists here, Vira Blok, delivering superlative Biologique Recherche facials. And there are yoga and pilates classes, too (including a peaceful yoga event on New Year’s Eve), plus an infrared sauna (from €25). Their women’s health and wellness retreat in May 2025 takes place in Mallorca – the ultimate gift!
7. MASSAGE HEAVEN
Treat someone to a Full Body Restoration with Andreas and they’ll thank you forever. Located in Wicklow town, you’ll genuinely leave feeling like you’re on cloud nine! An hour is €100 or €70 to focus on the back, neck and shoulders for 40 minutes of pure bliss.
