Build strength and a sense of community …
Barre Social Club, Churchtown
One of Ireland’s first barre clubs, based beside The Cosy Bean café. Name a better combination? Founded by Chloe and Justin Middleton, this low-impact workout combines Pilates, ballet and cardio to build strength and tone muscle. Chloe saw a gap in the market when she came to Ireland from her native Cape Town in South Africa, so the couple opened a boutique barre studio where you’re guaranteed to feel the burn. @barresocialclub.ie
Roseberg Studios, Ballsbridge
Founded by Molly Berghenti, who renovated the studio herself, Roseberg specialises in Pilates and yoga. She points out, “Pilates is more than just core work – it’s a full body movement that builds strength, mobility and mind-body connection.” The studio offers class bundles or membership packages, followed by coffee or matcha of your choice. SAINT Studios, South William Street
Founded by Alana Murrin and Ryan Baronet, SAINT Studios opened last year and is already well known for reformer Pilates, barre and spin, not to mention the luxury rooftop saunas. As February is self-love month, the new Transform Membership includes classes for ride, train and reformer with unlimited recovery sessions in the sauna and cold plunge. @saintstudiosdublin
The Barre, Dun Laoghaire
Renowned Pilates, yoga and barre instructor Sophie Mallen recently opened her studio to create an intimate space for a more personal experience. With just four reformers, she can give each member the attention they need to get the most from their class. “I’m excited for clients to try barre, a relatively new discipline in Ireland. It’s an incredible full-body workout, and it’s fun too,” she said. The Barre offers 45-minute reformer Pilates and barre classes for all levels, as well as pre- and postnatal classes. @thebarre.ie
