By the time it gets to the weekend, we’re all about outfits you can put together easily. Something that feels comfortable but still polished, summer-y but appropriate for the ultra-changeable weather we’re having right now. May’s showery but humid weather makes it the perfect opportunity to start introducing summer classics like a slip skirt, a great T-shirt and a statement dress or two (preferably with pockets). Try a Victorian-inspired high neck. To finish, pull your hair back into a loose bun and add a statement earring.

If the rain comes, see out any showers in a baseball cap and your favourite trench. 

Break out last year’s silky slip skirt and update it with a linen shirt, tied at the navel.

Try a cropped jacket. Even better if it’s in crisp monochrome. 

Embrace summer folly with a smock dress. 

Breton stripes? Never a bad idea.
