Shop Your Own Wardrobe For This Punkish Autumn Trend

The late designer Dame Vivienne Westwood has inspired a punkish attitude for AW23 – raid your wardrobe for the finishing touches …

So many designers are embracing tough-girl, punkish tartans and leather looks this season, probably in tribute to the late Dame Vivienne Westwood. Burgundy non-conformist checks stood out at Issey Miyake and Shang Xia, as did gorgeous green tartan skirts at Dior (pictured above) and Saint Laurent. To channel this trend, look to labels such as Le Kilt and Chopova Lowena for statement skirts, and to high street brands Massimo Dutti, Arket and Cos for leather jackets, trousers and coats. The finishing touches – a studded bag, chunky boots and cosy tights – should already be in your wardrobe!
