What’s On My Beauty Shelf: Lisa Eldridge

Make-up authority, brand founder and CEO, Lisa Eldridge shares her beauty ethos and industry insider key buys …

A beauty staple I’m never without: Enhancing Tint, Kitten Lash Mascara and a swipe of Baume Embrace!

My best beauty investment that’s worth it: I have a Celluma iPro LED light mask at home, which helps with collagen production and evens out skin tone. You can also use it for aches and pains, to stimulate hair growth and for acne. It was expensive, but I would have spent more going to a salon, so it’s a good investment.

My most recent purchase: l’ve been using and loving the Lancôme Rénergie H.C.F Triple Serum (currently €95.25 at Boots) and UVMUNE SPF50 cream. It really is top quality skincare, and you have the SPF50 in there as well. (Lisa is global creative director for Lancôme).

My favourite places to shop for beauty: Liberty, Selfridges and Space NK.

My all-time favourite beauty item: I would have to say my True Velvet Lip Colours (€32) as they were the lipsticks that started it all! The inspiration for the first products I ever launched literally came out of a dream. I had a recurring dream of lips made from real velvet, and I was inspired to turn my velvet vision into reality. And so, in 2018, my first Lip Colours were born. They have since reached holy grail lipstick status and have been heralded by beauty insiders as cult classics.

I’m coveting: An indulgent, pampering bath! I turn it into the ultimate spa experience, it’s my time to switch off and luxuriate in some self-care. I love using magnesium flakes, which relieve tension and aid a restful sleep. Westlab Magnesium Flakes, €4.96, at Boots.

My favourite treatment: Facials with Su-Man, a world-renowned facialist in London who works through holistic methods and massage techniques. Her sculpting, contouring facials are legendary!

The loveliest perfume bottle on my dressing table: When I was living in LA, I went to the Violet Grey store when it first opened and was bowled over by the Diana Vreeland fragrances, especially Daringly Different ($250), which has lots of iris with violet and leathery notes … the bottles are so glamorous.

My home fragrance: I’ve always been a fan of Neom candles – they’re made from a blend of vegetable waxes and pure essential oils which have a spa-like scent effect. They really work to relax and de-stress. (€54.12 at Arnotts).

One foundation I swear by: Naturally perfected skin is my signature and forms the base to every look I create, so my Seamless Skin Foundation (€53) is always in my kit. It’s the ultimate classic foundation, and is the go-to complexion companion for my clients and community, whether they’re walking the red carpet, or walking the dogs! It has customisable coverage and a soft-focus, skin-like finish.

My beauty ethos: For me, make-up has always been more than mere glittering surfaces. It’s a reflection of our creativity, our humanity and our stories, and a signifier of social, political and cultural shifts. Cosmetics are inextricably linked to identity, expression, human creativity and the way we navigate the world. Whether as a symbol of rebellion, empowerment or a reflection of cultural changes, beauty has always been more than skin deep.
