What’s On My Beauty Shelf: Grove England’s Fine Fragrance Founder

Laura Butler-Madden shares her favourite skincare, scents and supplements …

Key beauty staples I’m never without: A good sheet mask is my go-to for almost any occasion, whether I haven’t had enough sleep, need a pre-night-out glow or a morning pick-me-up, or my skin’s just feeling dehydrated. Whatever the reason, it instantly revives my skin. My current favourite is the one from Augustinus Bader. (€28 at SpaceNK)

Best beauty investment: I love good face creams and my everyday brand is Medik8. I use their products all the time. And at least a couple of times a year, I treat myself to the La Mer Moisturising Soft Cream (currently €153, 30ml, at Dublin & Cork Duty Free) – it’s heaven.

TRY: The Medik8 Crystal Retinal Age-Defying Facial, €140 (including thermal suite access), at The Spa, The Johnstown Estate, Enfield, Co Meath.

My most recent beauty purchase: The Medicube Age-R Booster Pro Device, an LED device. I’m already noticing a huge difference in my skin. (€320 at www.skinshop.ie)

Favourite place to shop for beauty: Liberty, London.

My all-time favourite beauty item: It used to be By Terry Baume de Rose lip balm (€48 at SpaceNK), but now it’s our Grove England hand cream. I’m totally obsessed – the texture and scent are heaven, and if I leave the house without it I feel naked!”

I’m coveting: The Lyma Laser Pro. It’s meant to be amazing, but is a real investment.

My favourite Irish beauty product: I’ve recently been taking the Sisterly Elevator sachet each day and love it. I feel so full of energy, but at the same time have a lovely sense of calm. (€118 for 30 sachets)

Favourite treatment: I adore reiki and acupuncture. Both really ground me and help me switch off my busy mind (for an hour at least!)

The loveliest perfume bottle on my dressing table: My signature scent is our debut fragrance Anemone (£120stg). It’s elegant and calming with notes of jasmine, neroli and linden, warm cedarwood and labdanum. I adore it and have been so thrilled by the feedback from others too. I’m so proud of it and wear it every day.

My home fragrance: We have Anemone candles burning all around the house. We’re working on our second collection to launch early next year; I hope to also develop a diffuser. I love beautiful fragrance in the home, it really completes a space.

One foundation I swear by: Chanel CC Cream, I love it.

TRY: Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation, €62.

My beauty ethos: Less is more. I want to grow old gracefully and as naturally as possible. I always think natural-looking make-up is more flattering than heavy layers. I hope to use new technologies to keep my complexion glowing as I age, but I’m not someone for injectables or fillers. For now, anyway … never say never!
