We Want to Know: What Will Harry Styles Wear to Slane Castle Next June?

Tickets went on sale this morning for Harry Styles at Slane Castle, a gig set to take place on Saturday 10 June 2023. The much-beloved Head-Boy-of-pop will continue the European leg of Love on Tour until the streets from Paris to Berlin are decked with flammable lurid feathers and glitter, and Ireland is sure to get a piece too. Yass!

For some, it’s the perfect formula for wholesome and utterly fun girls’ night out. For others, they have been superfans since Watermelon Sugar High and they hum As It Was on repeat throughout their workday.

For us, it’s the clothes.

Although there was a time where Harry could be identified as a typical early 2010s boybander, with only his tousled, feathered hairstyle to set him apart from the  other One Directioners, his high-street skinny-jeans days are over. He has real fashion credit now. He just collaborated on a Gucci collection with creative director Alessandro Michele, called Gucci HA HA HA. Michele said of the popstar, “Harry has an incredible sense of fashion. The idea of working together came to me one day while we were talking on the phone: I proposed creating a ‘dream wardrobe’ with him… We ended up with a mix of aesthetics, from 1970s pop and bohemia to the revision of the image of the gentleman in an overturned memory of men’s tailoring”.

As Harry goes about his glamourous life, cruising carpets at award shows, visiting radio and late-night TV studios, or romancing Olivia Wilde on a boat in Italy, he makes a point of standing out with jazzy outfits, and always keeps it a touch metro – if that term hasn’t been retired.

Because Harry is clearly more than happy to bend gender, surprise and amuse with his sartorial choices. 70s silhouettes in psychedelic tones are his usual MO, but when it comes to performances, fans can expect the unexpected.
