Everything in its place …
‘Tis the season to (pre) spring clean! Nothing feels quite as satisfying as sorting out your house after the New Year. Even if you only have five minutes to tidy out a messy drawer or the whole weekend to give your chest of drawers a much-needed refresh, now’s the time … TikTok can be a minefield – but if you end up on #CleanTok, a sub-genre within the app, you’ll be mesmerised by the cleaning and organisation hacks that are strangely soothing watch. Check out Jessica Haizman for everything from lessons on how to deep clean your AirPods to creating natural cleaning sprays at home that actually work. Claire McLaughlin shares organisation hacks and useful product finds, like the bamboo product dividers below. Lisa Jacobs of Consider it Done shares clothes folding tips and advice on wardrobe organisation.
In Ireland, A Sorted Affair founders Kim and Lyn (pictured above) first met on set in the RTÉ studios and struck up an instant friendship and an exciting new partnership. As busy mothers, the duo understand how overwhelming it can be trying to keep on top of everything. Their aim is to help customers to be more organised at home and in the office by sharing their tips and tricks. This Is You, another new Irish company set up by mum-of-five Lisa Daly, has just launched a home organisational journal. “It’s full of guides and places to keep your home organised inside and out. It is an organisational journal but also a journal to keep down through the years to remember what you did, how much it cost and when you did it”, Lisa told us. “From your outgoings to service reminders, a birthday calendar as well as a specific place to keep all your tax and insurance information, everything you can possibly think of is contained within this journal”. The end result? A more organised space just in time for spring. Here are some great products such as drawer dividers, trollies, and storage cubes to help you make a start.
