Once the preserve of surfers and surprisingly, one of lockdowns most fashionable ways to pass time at home, the throwback tie-dye trend is still going strong. Reminding us of well-spent youths at Pine Forest summer camp, sometimes dressing like you did at the happiest of times is comforting. Heavy hitting fashion houses like Dior, Carolina Herrera and Isabel Marant took cues from hippie surfers and started releasing their own takes on this childhood staple. While we were all stuck inside dreaming of a tropical island to escape to, Dublin-born fashion designer Zoë Jordan was busy launching her Cabaña collection, a capsule collection of ultra-lightweight tie-dye (cashmere mix) knitwear designed for the bold explorer. “I adore the untamed spirit of the sea and the rugged nooks and shipwrecked shacks from which I can savour the water rushing up to meet my feet,” Jordan told The Gloss.
