COOL TONE
“Digital Lavender” is so called because it began life as a trending colour in the digital world. Now it is making the leap into the real one, influencing fashion and interiors trends. It has been embraced by designers Brandon Maxwell, Ulla Johnson, Cecilie Bahnsen and Loewe, who have given lavender a cool-girl twist in pants, sneakers, dresses and more. Elegant older ladies have been successfully wearing lavender (some with hair to match!) for centuries but it’s no longer just the preserve of the elder lemonettes. The beauty of lavender is that it suits all complexions and even engenders a feeling of calm and serenity. The key to keeping it looking contemporary? Choose pieces with clean lines and wear head to toe, including shoes and accessories, which, when wearing lavender, must always be edgy, never prim.
