There’s A Supercar Show Coming To Dublin This Month – Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Take a spin out to Dundrum Town Centre on August 26 and 27 for the Super Car Weekend …

Buckle up! This August, Dundrum Town Centre will welcome the return of the Super Car Weekend which will play host to a mix of old, new, classic, custom and contemporary cars. Set to take place on August 26 and 27 from 10am – 5pm at the Paddocks in the red car park on level one, visitors can expect to see over 80 high-end prestigious vehicles, from the race-track-ready Porsche GT3RS to the jaw-dropping Lamborghini Diablo and Corvette Stingray, there will be some amazing cars on display. The Super Car Weekend will be a feast for the senses.

This event will be a must-see for any vintage car enthusiasts. Taking inspiration from Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival, this will be an event for all car fanatics and families to enjoy. Visitors will also get the chance to see Irish wakeboarder and car enthusiast David O’Caoimh in conversation with two up-and-coming motorsport stars in Ireland, Alex Dunne and Alex Denning. Both will be speaking about their racing experiences, knowledge, and love for the sport.

Offaly teenager Alex Dunne is a well-established GB3 driver and British F4 Champion with his eyes firmly set on a future in F1. Alex Denning is a Dublin native, GT4 Europe Driver in McLaren’s Artura and was named Motorsport Ireland Young Driver of The Year in 2022.

As if there wasn’t enough motorsport action happening across the weekend, Sky will be screening the highly anticipated Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix in F1 Lounge across the weekend. Visitors can also stop-off at Coffeezone by Carzone where customers can get their coffee fix and chill in the area. Plenty of fuel throughout the weekend!

This year’s event will be in support of Purple House Cancer Support and will help raise vital funds for the charity. Purple House will be encouraging donations across the weekend with two raffles prizes each day. Raffle prizes will include a ride-out in one of the chosen cars.

To make the most of the weekend, plan a pit stop at one of the centre’s fabulous family-friendly restaurants. Perhaps you’ll treat the kids to pizza on Milano’s picturesque outdoor terrace, grab the girls and try out the new Flying Duck at Harvey Nichols (where there’s also live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night) or transport yourself to the Amalfi Coast at Jamie’s Italian, where Negronis are the order of the day. Make sure to stop into Gino’s Gelato too – essential on a sunny day.

The Super Car Weekend promises to be the perfect day out for everyone to enjoy. For more information visit www.dundrum.ie.
