Sunny Disposition Guaranteed at Arnotts

Every detail was considered at Arnotts’ pop-up AW20 womenswear presentation this morning, from the delicious early morning nibbles to a screening of the new campaign fashion film styled by Corina Gaffey. The attention to detail was mirrored in a collection as colourful as any they’ve shown. Housed in the store’s Gallery, fashion editors were treated to an exhibition showcasing new Irish and international collections. “We are very excited to introduce new collections this season that are chic, nostalgic and emblematic of a new era. This season is all about introducing retro prints and updated silhouettes to your wardrobe while still maintaining a timeless sensibility,” womenswear buyer Mary Claffey told us.

Best at show? A pussy-bow retro print dress by Marella paired with a leather blazer by Danish label Gestuz, cosy everyday knits (we loved the fairisle sweater by Gant) teamed with denim culottes, a glorious yellow coat by sustainable brand Custommade (sunny on a dull winter’s day), elegant soft suiting by Max & Co paired with a mink-coloured Tara Jarmon coat and a See by Chloe (new at Arnotts) two-tone bag. Irish designer FeeG’s flamboyant glimmering sequinned embroidered dress with textured floral detail and polka-dotted puffed sleeves was a showstopper. Our new go-to label? Custommade, the Copenhagan label the fashion set are loving. The exhibition in The Gallery is open to Arnotts customers tomorrow and Saturday. www.arnotts.ie
