YOUR STYLE? Pretty low-key mostly, I tend not to wear anything too loud or colourful. Typically, you’ll find me wearing something comfortable both at home and for off-duty days – layering in winter and my go-to T-shirt and jeans combo when the weather is warmer.
BEST INVESTMENT PIECES? A pair of Gant desert boots I bought about twelve years ago that look even better today than when I first got them.
WHERE DO YOU DO MOST OF YOUR SHOPPING? I’ve shifted most of my shopping online in the last few years; I support independent boutiques as much as possible, online or in store. Mr Porter has a lot of cool stuff but it’s a little pricey. I often end up down an Instagram rabbit hole looking at tees or hats. I dressed more or less the same in my late teens as I do now. I was always lucky to get the most amazing hand-me-downs from my brother Richard.
STYLE ICON? Steve McQueen or Tom Smith from indie rock band Editors.
SHOPPING WISH LIST? There’s a cool brand based in New Delhi, India called Kartik Research: I’d love their reversible Kantha cropped jacket.
FAVOURITE ACCESSORIES? Shameless plug, but our new Esme tote has travelled with me everywhere over the last year or so. We try to road test our pieces quite a bit and it has been a lifesaver for me. It holds a lot; it’s great for travelling.
SKINCARE ROUTINE? My wife Tara tends to have lots of nice products so I often steal hers. There’s a really nice Australian brand called Frank Body which she buys online – I use that when she’s not looking!
SIGNATURE SCENT? Dior Sauvage.
FAVOURITE APPS? I use Trello for work; Reddit would be my go-to for social media.
COFFEE ORDER? Extra-hot cappuccino.
HOW DO YOU UNWIND? Playing with my kids; watching sports on the weekend; a few beers or glasses of wine on a Friday night.
FAVOURITE INDULGENCE? Garlic bread – my absolute guilty pleasure.
SIGNATURE DISH? I make a pretty decent traditional carbonara. I adore pasta.
THIS YEAR’S TO DO LIST? Spend more time with our kids. I’m trying to plan a Christmas trip with my parents and family to India for a few weeks. I really want to take them to Ranthambore National Park to see tigers up close.
