Alternatively, the Gothic Hall, with its vaulted ceilings and Italian crystal chandelier can accommodate up to 140 people for a ceremony, or the cosy Kentian Suite, with its beautiful tapestries and welcoming open fire, can accommodate 100 guests.
For a more relaxed but no less idyllic venue, the Clubhouse at Luttrellstown Castle Resort is a three-storey alpine-lodge, which overlooks the 18th green of the Castle’s championship golf course and has wonderful views of the Wicklow Mountains. Guests can choose to dine at La Mora Restaurant or the al fresco option of The Millennium Suite, which overlooks a striking, illuminated water feature.
As the Castle is offered for hire on an exclusive basis, it means many brides-to-be book the castle for two or three days at a time. This allows for a rehearsal dinner the night before, and a more relaxed day after the wedding. There is a host of activities from archery to falconry, which can be organised for guests’ enjoyment.
