Angela Scanlon’s breezy new collection for Warehouse is practical and pretty …
Broadcaster and television presenter Angela Scanlon has curated a 25-piece spring edit for Warehouse. Known for her unique sense of style, Scanlon has worked her favourite pieces into a capsule collection which will work right through until the autumn and is oddly prescient too as we work from home and lunch hour might include putting on a laundry load or doing a bit of light housework, as the collection has a cool utility vibe.‘I have pulled together a bunch of pieces that you will have for summer but love forever’, says Scanlon (she wore a pink bespoke Warehouse dress to the British Fashion Awards, featured in last month’s issue of THE GLOSS). Think lightweight separates with XXL collars and ruffle sleeves paired with denim jeans, tapered trousers and tailored shorts. She has carefully selected natural fabrics throughout like linen, denim and cotton poplin. Key prints include faded florals, tablecloth ginghams and vintage-inspired wallpaper prints in powder blues, punchy oranges and mustard yellows. The self-confessed boilersuit queen has also made sure that there are plenty utility-style all-in-ones to choose from in neutral shades of taupe and charcoal. We love her denim boilersuit pick with its relaxed silhouette, exposed zip details and extra-deep pockets. Accessories complement the collection with oversized floral bucket hats, raffia sunhats, animal-print sandals and oversized sunglasses. Available to shop online tomorrow. www.warehouse-london.com
