Dresses with sleeves are a game-changer right now …
Spring has sprung! And, while we’re still feeling the cold, we’d like to hint at the new season in our look. Cue: the long-sleeved dress. It’s the perfect get-dressed solution for right now: wear yours under a raglan-sleeved cardigan or layer a turtleneck below. When it comes to shapes and prints, dresses are a mixed bag. In one corner, brands are hinting at what’s to come with ditsy florals and bold silhouettes. However, we don’t want to jump too far into the season just yet. That’s why high-necked and knitted varieties – some are more body-skimming than others – feel perfect for right now. Colours like beige, vanilla and oatmeal hint at lightness without being overpowering or feeling too out of season. Our current pin-up, Danish label By Malene Birger describes its latest collection of neutral pieces as ‘a maximalist’s take on bohemian minimalism’ – something that resonates. Dresses are executed in rich shades of cream wool with fringed trims while, at the entry level price point, the brand’s black maxi dresses (see below) will turn heads.
